  • Renewal time

Freshtiva ( the car ) hasn't been out since the last license renewal, two years ago. Figured it was a photo opt. I had to move Festdiva to get Freshtiva out so I included her in the photos., plus my two companions. The shop dust was heavy on the cars so I rinsed them off. Freshs' battery had gone bad but a new one started it right up with no issues. Took both cars on a long operating temp. drives.

Do you keep them in underground nitrogen-filled vaults?

Any concern with seals drying out (not the kind with flippers)?
90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
09 Kia Rondo--a Festy on steroids!

No. Not nitrogen. Inert gas only. ARGON.
I also drove mine on Friday for the first time.
I passed the emission test with flying colors but failed safety.
I am on the lookout for four tires without dry rot, cracks in the sidewall.
Your black tires look pretty good. Too bad tou weren't a little closer.

I haven't noticed any dry seals. There was a fifty cent piece size puddle amid the cobwebs under Festdiva but I think that was a pre-existing condition of the left output shaft seal. My bigger concern is mice but I found no evidence that they had gained entrance to either car. I also realize there is two year old fuel in the tanks. I'll drive both some once the weather dries out and then refuel them with fresh gas. Oh yeah, the A/C was weak on Freshtiva so it may be time for a charge. This is where they usually reside. Right smack in my way most of the time.

Then clearly you need to build a separate garage/hangar/bunker to store Festys in.
