If I guess, am I right to think that since it's so small and supersimplied, the cost in full rebuild resto is a whole lot cheaper?

meyek91974, your right to a point, the people on this site enjoy these small cars and yes they are easy to work on and customize to your liking but don't be fooled you can sink a bucket of money into these little jems but then enjoy it--it 's your custom street car, as far as finding a good rust free car, you are from Kentucky start looking around they are out there. Good luck

Wisconsin that is a great looking car and color, the wheel color really sets it off. glad to hear that you decided to keep the White car, it was hard for me to decide between buying your car or this Black GL, we drove down to Edmond Ok and picked this up a couple weeks back from ff.com member Larry Hampton

My festival find was one of luck, I think. A guy had it in a barn in Indiana. Now, it runs like a top! And, for that I am greatfull. $900, got some 12" from tirerack.com, and as I find things that are broken it's the EASIEST to fix. (Window was off track, cig lighter had surface rust, removed the storage bin and found where to replace heater blower resistor- which only cost $8)
And, people are soooo invious of the mpg!
                - I wonder if I should put $ to buy another or just bedliner the rocker panels

Buy a second one as close to the same model you have now and you will be sitting pretty with parts!

These cars are an amazing value for so many different reasons. I like that shot in front of the firehouse! Looks like you may have been in a hurry to snap it quick though. Lol.
