  • could someone post picks of the FMS hood mounted on hinges?

I'm about ready to mount my glass hood, but would like to see the hood on the hinges, is there a spacer in there someplace? I don't want to start drilling and Fup a new hood. Thanks.

There are no spacers, it took alot of measuring, and double checking before drilling to get it right. I can get pictures Sat. if you want. Then there was all the checking for the hood pins too. I used holes that were in the core support already and mounted the pins.

thanks, it looks like there is a space between the hood and the hinge, I'm not worried about the pins, once the hood is mounted the pins can be lined up and mounted. Saturday is fine. Thanks.

do you have to use pins or can you use the stock hinge with the fms hood

rear = hinge, front = hood pins

You cannot use the latch, if that's what you meant.

got it mounted, the hingerswere a little splayed. If you take out the rubber hood bumers, 7/16 hood pins will thread in the hole. I got a set of mr. gasker, if that helps anyone. Make sure the core support is straight, mine was a little bent so I had to open the hood pin hole a little after I straightened the pin.

^^ you may want to add them back into those predrilled holes.. the wind will rattle the hell out of it without them.

Don't forget to mount the rubber strip from the old hood to the core suppot to help keep the wind out from under the hood.
