The reason I dont work on my festiva. part II

The truck is now on the street, keeping up with 5.0 mustangs.
Since the part I have...
• Installed a Triangulated four link
• Installed air bags on all for corners
• Installed 2:80 Gears
• Remanufactured heads
• Rewired the truck with a E-Z wiring


I can drag the front crossmember and throw sparks going down the road.





I had to cut a hole in the floor and hinge it becuase the rear axel comes through the bed floor.

I want to get the rear bumber on the ground, right now it is about 4in off the ground

2.80 gear .. you should be able to cruise at 150+ mph

The trans is a c-6 3-speed so it isn't that great. It had 3:73's in it and it was turning like 3700rpm at 60mph, not good. The motor also needs rebiult this winter, i used 10 yes that is right 10qts of oil on my way to cincinati and back.

Honestly, you need to get the truck primered or something, soon, before the rust eats anymore of the truck. That'll be a sexy beast, but you're liable to invest a ton of change in bodywork if you don't get it cleaned up within the next two years. It's looking pretty bad.

But I dig the project.

WOW that is almost more in oil than gas .
3,700 @60 w/3.73 ??
I only turn 3,200-3,300 rpm's @65 w/ 4.56 -TH400 3 spd .

that pic with the festiva in the background looks awesome, the only thing better would be to see the festiva sitting as low as the truck

The truck really isn't that rusty. The front fenders and core suport are the worst, the rest is just surface rust. The truck is from tennese so it isn't that bad. The rmp's are much better with the other gear more like 27 or 2800 at 60mph

i wanna slam my 86 F-150 that low with air and if i can a 460 with a blower for power. but plan on going all black with mine and get the 5.23" stacks from Jc whitney comin up through the bed.

but that does look sweet. did u C-notch the frame or is it sitting on it stock.
