Well, sadly guys, its not a Festiva, but I'm sure you guys will appreciate it!
Here's the car right before I picked it up. Its been sitting like this for 2 years...
I got the car towed to my work, did a whole list of services to it to bring it back to life. I used an oxidation remover and it really brought out the bright red paint. I used a very strong cleaner for the wheels (they are still pitted, but look 10x better), etc. Also swapped on a new transfer case, and rehung the driveshaft.
So, the car is home now, and I've been driving it for a few days and I must say - this is a fun little car! The first time, I launched on wet pavement and it just sunk and tore out was a blast. I couldn't do anything but laugh.
So, here it is...
Thats my dead battery with terminals that have corroded to the posts...it sucked. Died out of nowhere. Its fixed now.
Just a front 3/4 shot..
Ouch, sun glare...(btw, thats our Explorer parked next to me..)
I love this angle the best...
Just a steering wheel cover...I have a nice new Grant GT wheel inmy back seat I'm yet to install. Its puuuuurty.
Motor shot. Not much to see; but soon it'll have a nice intercooler in the stock spot, and red silicon IC pipes. Im also going to paint the VC red.
The ONLY AEM Inake for the Mazda 323GTX - I know, becuase I made it. ;-)
Sparco Sphere knob, Oil Pressure, Water Temp and a narrow band A/F soon to be AEM UEGO. Im going to move the gauges to the top of the dash next to the cluster. I dont want to look down to see the vitals. I'm going to mount them in CF guage cups.
Yep, '88 323 GTX - its mine, its home and its fast!
