My buddy's festar update, It's alive!

This is my friends festiva with a taurus 3.0 in the back. He is in the middle of the project now. More pics later.

The scoops on the sides are functional. The tank is from a sidekick and is under the piece of truck bedliner in the engine bay. The engine is not from the sho. The seats are recovered festiva seats. The grille is custom from a buick trunk edge, and a contour grille piece. The headlights are from a mazda pickup. The whole floor was cut out. He made the frame in the rear and around the gas tank. He made the scoops too. He modified a civic spoiler to go on it. he will finish that later and it will be smooth where it mounts. He's 70 years old and just got into festivas 2 years ago. He has 3 efi daily drivers 1 auto and 2 five speeds. he is swapping a sohc b6 into one of them. he is also putting a regular carbed car together. He says he wants one for everyday of the week.

This guy is so not going to join. He doesn't own a computer and the most technology he's ever dealt with is the festiva. Seriously. He owns a 62 tbird, a falcon van, a falcon, a ranchero (that's another big story involving an 84 mazda b2200 frame, a ranchero body, a 460 shifted back at least a foot, custom this, that, and the other) and the 5 festivas. I will post however. he is so nice too. I called him today and asked if I could take the pics to post on here. He is all about it, but won't be a member. It's all I could do to get him to sit down long enough to show him that red festiva with the sho engine that has been on ebay a few times. He just likes to piddle everyday with one of his cars. I don't know though. I might have him reading this post and when he does well, it might encourage him to join??
