  • Home made header

Well i got bored and decided to make a header for my b3. Dont know if i want to make them to sell yet but i might. I got it on the car and it didn't really seam to creat power but it looks good and saves weight.

made the upper flange and used a extra flange i had for the bottom

I used a set of old 302 headers i had to get the bends

I used a oxy/acy torch to cut out the fange.

I also welded on a O2 sensor bung

I need to take it back off and paint it and fix a exhaust leak

Looks good. Get some header paint on them or wrap in tape for a nice finishing touch.

That is very nice , good job !!

If you can do that with a torch , I would like to see what you could turn out with a plasma and a tig

It would look like a factory piece .

looks very nice, how long did it take to create that?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Welding is a good paying job. Good luck !!
My son is a welder at Caterpillar , he welds the frames on the 8150 scraper,
He just got a new air hood , that makes me feel a little better about him breathing all the fumes .

It took about a 8 hours. I did it over the course of two days but on the first ady I didn't have any oxy/acy for the torches and it was to late to get some

Good job on your first header.. I would try and grind down some of the flange pieces w/a dremel/grinder. You really should mess around w/some mandrel bent pieces from Summit and see what you can come up w/for the Truck! -Kyle
