  • So I've been tooling around with the idea...?

Can't decided if i want to go 8.5:1 or 10.3:1 in compression. I have the B8-me stripped down to the bare block except for the crank. The stock bore is 83mm and the stroke at 85mm. I want the bore to match the stroke so the car will rev to no end. Second thought was if i should go nitrous with 10.3:1 or turbo with the BP05 head/water pump swap...8.5:1 of coarse!!?

    What do you guys think??

Also if i want to achieve the closest the matched bore and stroke i could go 60 thousands overbore putting me at 84.5mm...making my total displacement 115cu 1.91 litre. To you think the cylinder walls will still hold up??

I'm putting (trying) all this power down to a stock 5 speed with the spec clutch stage 2 unit.

Any advice would be appreciated, but now for the pictures.

New water pump, timing belt, oil pump, temp sensors...I'm keeping it SOHC till i can get some mulla saving up for my DOHC swap.

oil pan looks great... don't really know much about the turbo stuff, but boring over to 1.9 sounds like a neat idea if it will hold up... there's 3.8 liter in a gallon, so a 1.9 would be a half gallon motor  that'd be an interesting way to introduce your car...

Q: hey, what you got in that thing?
    A: a mazda half gallon
    No festiva for me ATM...

For low boost turbo I would say it should be fine. For a nitrous'd high comp. engine I would be very skeptical... Good luck with it either way! I have a set of those VX wheels for my street wheels, good choice! Very very light... -Kyle
