  • The F.U.V is no longer with us...

    Well the FUV is no longer with us. It has been destroyed. We are going to be moving soon and i cant take it with so i had a little fun.
    here is a before pic
    :x

    * caution graphic pics*

    I drove it for a while until the sway bar shoved the axel into the " frame" which pulled the axel out. We also shot it with a 12 guage and a Yugo SKS rifle a couple dozen times

    Here is the after math

    here is what did the damage

      i didn't have a title for it and it was really rusted. It also caught fire a few months ago and cooked the distributer, which i fixed so i could destroy it

          i don't even want to imagine what would happen in a rollover in my car after cutting a reinforcement in the roof to install my sunroof. you definately did a good job destroying it. probably a lot of fun too.

                        Lilred, I'm interested in how the 7.62 X 39 mm ammo did from the SKS. I expect those bullets (if they were ball ammo) would easily go all the way through the car sides if they didn't hit anything really solid.

                        Also, did you use buckshot or slugs from the shotgun? If so, let me know how they did.

                        Thanks,

                        Karl

                          ^^^ shame on you guys analyzing how well bullets ripped through the skin of a poor defenseless festiva that had already experienced horrible lacerations and brutalities at the hands of a sawzall and blazer:!:

                          :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

                          Just picking on ya, I cut my festy up too, and I think if ya couldn't get a title and you couldn't bring it with you, at least you got to have some fun with it, but I think Hot Wheels it right, recycle the metal, maybe it'll get put into one of the new festiva/fiestas they are talking about bringing to the US That would be one heck of an awesome resurrection!!!
                          No festiva for me ATM...

                            The car was way beyond being able to ever drive normal again. The "frame rails" were gone and someone else before i got it had shot out all the windows, kicked the sides in and shot it. I would never destroy a festiva unless i thought it would be unrepairable. I am taking it to the scrap yard this week so if there is something you need let me know. As far as the gun shots, the 7.62 round had no problem going through one side of the car, both sides of a air tank sitting in the back, the other side of the car and going about a inch into a tree behind the car. The 7.62 rounds were hallow point aswell which suprised us all. the funy thing is, is that the shot gun slug didn't go through both sides of the car.
