Swapped the radio and cup holder

wondering if you could use this cup holder with the original shifter.

thanks guys...I like it better now that it is done....thought it would be harder then it was...but most of the work was done from when I put the cup holder in originally. Just a little cosmetic work to do and it is finished.

Got mine recently, kind of sticks out a bit and slides out as well. what kind of cosmetic work you done to make it fit perfectly?

On mine I. Made a plate to fill the gaps in front of the cup holders and I put it behind the bensel on the radio you can bend the tabs out on your adaptor

single cup holder

There is a guy on the bay selling Crown Vic single cup holders. The back is 4.5 inches across, which just happens to match the width of the ashtray. Since I am always changing radio stations, I will replace the ashtray with a bolt up Crown Vic drink holder. I must be able to hold Arizona ice teas and Big Gulp.
Coke cans just does not do it for me. The radio must stay close to my shifter knob (one station change per shift).
The drink holder will always be sticking out. Unfortunately, the side swing Mini Cooper drink holder cannot be adapted.

how did your get yours to stay in? factory radio holders??? i tried this right now mine is kinda hangin in there

i missed that one thanks... also mine needed a little cutting on the back to make clearance but should fit nicely
