Two years ago I sold my aqua '92 Festiva L, which I bought for $100 and drove for a year, only to sell it for $650, running strong with 174k miles. Here it is:

Yesterday I picked up an 89 Festiva L with 133k miles from a local used car lot. It cleaned up really nice, and is nicer than my first Festiva ever was. I also paid a lot more for it.

The dashing young gentleman above is me. The distinguished older gentleman below is my grandfather.

It is by far, the cleanest '89 Festiva I've seen in recent memory. Everything works, even the factory A/C. The clutch holds great for now, but I'll probably have to replace it in the next 30k or so miles, when I do, I'm going to swap in a 5 speed tranny, the 4 speed really needs that extra gear at highway speeds. I plan on keeping the B3 for as long as it will run, but I may look into an Aspire suspension swap after a while. I'm going to ad a red stripe around the bumper and trim this weekend to make it look like an LX. If I could find some decent LX seats I'd be tempted to make it a full on LX clone. I put a great set of blue striped GL seats in my '92 that improved its look 100%.
