  • New to festiva's

I picked up this beast for a local dealer for 350. It was it pretty piss poor shape. The paint was all faded and the interior stunk like a wet dog. Whoever owned it before ripped out the ignition and everything on the column. They then jerry rigged up and new ignition where the cig lighter went and a toggle for lights.... but hey the stereo works! LOL! The wheel bearings are toasted I can tell by the roar as I drive it down the road and the engine was lacking tune up in ages. 172,000 on the odo however the speed o cable was disconnected so who knows how many mystery miles it has.

So I bought her and took her home and hit her with some rubbing compound and the shine came back. I gave her a full tune up as well as a valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket and a engine degreaser make over. Running wise this car is perfect. The engine is surprisingly strong and the tranny is just as well. I took the interior out yesterday and scrubbed them down only to find out that my interior was blue and gray instead of just gray or brown like my rear seat. I have some surprising things in store down the road. Keep your eyes on this one.

Welcome to the world of Festivas! You'll love your car more every time you drive it. It looks like your paint cleaned up really well. If I'm not mistaken your car is a 1990 LX, which was pretty nice as Festivas go. Those tach clusters are pretty rare.

                That wiring is seriously scary!

Make that two! I'm living in Wilmore (right outside Lexington) this summer, before I go back to Illinois to finish up school.

I think that cluster was swapped in from another car, because i dont see any other LX options- removable headrest seats, dual pwr mirrors, rear wiper, exct

The model is a Festiva L Plus I don't know how that relates to festivas.

I might swap in a engine later down the road. Right now I'm just concerned with gas.

even if you were to swap in a BP, or B6T/BPT it would still get great milage and go like hell

                          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
