  • Bumper trim

I added this trim to the bumper. Not sure I like it now. Maybe if it was black, or none at all. I havn't done the front yet. Have to decide if it looks right with the back side trim. What do you think?

Its called Custom Chrome. Its flexible and has 3M tape on it. I got it at Meijer. This is the 1/4". They had 1/2" too.

I think it works because it goes with your chrome tail piece and chrome around your rims. If there was a way to make your door handles crome to match it would look like a package, the festiva chrome package.

I agree with Breedlove, it would look out of place if it was the only chrome on the car, as it is, with the wheels and tailpipe, it fits right in. I like it. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Thanks guys for the good words. It is starting to grow on me a bit. I had been thinking I could have used a 1/4" black tape stripe in those grooves, much like the stock LX's had a red stripe in that area. I think I'll leave it and do the front later. I have to get another package anyway.

It won't stick

I cleaned and cleaned , then I took a screw driver and cleaned the groove deep .

Then I cleaned some more , then I took a cotton swab and used the degreaser in the grooves , cleaned the surface some more , I used the acetone prep , the surface was white , it still will not stick .

I have used Mothers back to black recently , and used to use tire wet .

I would think it was all off by now , maybe it is just the surface itself ??

So beware if you do it on a black bumper that has not been painted , and has been moisturized

The kind of glue they on those things really only sticks to paint, because it is so smooth, if it is at all grainy I don't think anything will stick to it.
