Some summer work!

So I decided to do some paint work this weekend. I bought a can of House of Kolor candy red in a spray can $8, a couple of cans of white $1.98 and 3 cans of clear coat $4. This is what I came out with. O don't mind the rims I blew the front tire the other day and have yet to get another pair for the front.

next weekend i will be painting my hatch the same color as the rest of the car along with trying to replicate the pinstripe look in the trim of the bumpers and such.

On white you can almost pinstripe it in any color you like!

Nice work on the festiva. It does me good to see people fixing them up. Here is a example of a red pinstripe: I might do my white GL( white bumpers) with a silver or black pinstripe on the bumper . Wow the mazda mirrors look a lot like the cool LX mirrors.

I like that tail light idea... Mine are leaking really bad, and my uncle's parts Festiva has a set of tail lights where the yellow light faded REALLY bad... I might attempt that look.

Thanks guys for the kind words! Has anyone else done the protege mirror swap? Its REALLY easy to mount by drilling new holes and the wires plug right in

Had a set of on my dad's white Festiva for awhile... They don't fit exactly like the 90 LX ones fit on the Festiva (even with drilling the holes) - the part that seals against the door is just a little different... Aside from that, they're pretty cool. I'm not a fan of the blue tinted glass though. It throws me off when I look into it.

Is the protege glass the same size as the 90 LX glass?
