  • Autometer Gauges

Well - I finally decided what I wanted to run... Ordered them from a local A&A Store that price matched down to another competitor and I saved myself $95 on them...

Running Carbon Fiber series, Oil Pressure (electric), Volts & A/F Ratio - they're sitting in a pod I grabbed off EBay for like $25 shipped. It was meant for a Miata, RX8, etc type deal, but it fits PRETTY well... The last picture shows some gaps that I need to somehow fix... Not certain how I'm going to fix them yet, but I'll get it so it looks better.

Oh... And I need to turn the gauges so they all look straight, but I had them set OFF the car and when I mounted it back to the pillar, they were off...

I didn't want white faced gauges again... I wanted something that looked close to "stock" and these were close and cheap... I had Phantom in the last car...

Brian - they sell a pod for the 90-99 Miata that fits REALLY nice in the 2 gauge version. I wanted to run 3 this time and for $25 shipped for the pod, it was worthwhile.

                Ian, Check your Pm's.

On gauges I had thought about making a removable one that I would put on the top of the steering column and when I was done with it would unclip via CB clip and a Molex connector and stow away in glove compartment or something.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

Eh - I've got insurance... If someone thinks they need them more than me, I'll get new ones.

I might find a way that I can secure them to the pillar. Don't know how yet, but I'm thinking 2-4 screws that would go into the apillar and then be covered. Someone could still take them if they wanted it bad enough, but it wouldn't be for just anyone to grab.

My friend has the same set up with white faces. I cant stand the a/f lights. I like the carbon... it does kinda have the stockish look.

323 GT seats, welded in... I'm going to rip them out at some point and either do theswap like DJ did (using stock brackets) or go with racing style again...

I don't like the A/F either, but it has a purpose... I was going to go with wideband, but didn't really need to spend the extra $200 for that. We'll see how these work once they're wired up...

Eh - they're just alright... The drivers side has a rip in the side bolster that was sewn back together so-so... Plus, the car has a bit of a mold problem, so I'm not certain that they're even healthy to be using now! Haha... I'm still up in the air with what I want to do with them.

Why did you go with a voltmeter?
