These pages document how I swapped a B6T turbocharged engine from a Mercury Capri XR2 into my Ford Festiva
This first picture is of my donor car, a 1991 Mercury Capri XR2. This is how I bought it, not too much left, but it did run.
This is just a shot of the B6T in the Capri that I took prior to pulling the motor last summer. It's a good idea to take some pics as you disassemble and remove the motor to have as a reference when it comes time to reconnect or find how to route the wires etc.
This is a pic of the intake snorkel tube that goes into the airbox on the stock Capri. I included this pic to show how convoluted and restrictive the stock intake is. This part promptly went into the dumpster after the pic was taken. Nothing this crappy will be a part of my project. This would be a good pic to put beside the custom intake I'll have in the end for a comparison shot.
