I suppose I had better find myself a tent and other such camping accouterments. Although, with my paranoia about bears, I'd probably feel cozier in a big steel shipping container.

          I'll get over it!

I'm sure we can come up with something. There's a lot of really nice drives and things to see in the area. We could run into Banff (that would require a National Park Pass which would be an added expense). There's Canmore and the Nordic Centre, venue for part of the '88 Winter Olympics. Kananaskis Country is only a few minutes away.

For those who have seen the movie John Q, the opening scenes where the lady crashes her car was filmed on Highway 40 in Kananaskis Country!

If anyone is into hiking there quite a few really nice short hikes in the area too.

Whatever we do we'll have to find a few good spots for some photo's

We can get details worked out a bit later. If anyone has anything in particular they'd like to do let us know.

It seems like every time I go camping I forget something. You know, the important stuff like matches, can opener, coffee pot. ops:

I'll just have to get a couple of early camping trips in to practice.

                  Houston... we have a problem!

I just got a message from the campground to let me know that they only take 2 day bookings on weekends :?

The way I see it there are two options:

                  1. Book the two nights, Friday and Saturday, which would bump the cost up to about $50 per site or...

                  2. Book sites individually and see if we can get them close together.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and find out if I can book a block of sites. I would imagine most of us would be in tents.

Let me know what you think and I'll update this tomorrow sometime.

                  Cheers

How do they define "site." EG: how many tents or people are allowed to occupy a given site? I'm not worried about money, just about logistics.

There's 20 tent sites and 15 RV sites in the group site I've booked. I would think they would allow at least 4 people per site so there's lots of room.

this may be a stipid question but why do we need 15 RV sites?

I would like to see friday and sat night if possible. then on the saturday we could do a nice cruise and then sunday I know I have to leave to get back in time for work on monday. Just my thoughts.
90 festiva BP/G25MR swap, spec v seats, aspire brakes, FMS springs, round headlight conversion with HID's, custom exhaust, fiberglass hood, and a whole lotta bodywork

We'll need at least one as I will be there with a tent trailer and some of the family. The group sites are set apart from the main campground and can accommodate up to the number of units I stated. The advantage of the group site is that we are all together in the same spot. I suppose we could all reserve separate sites in the campground but there's no guarantee we'd be together or even close (it's a big campground) and we'd have to book fairly early as this is a popular spot.

                            Here's how it works out...

It's $250.00 per night for the first ten sites and then $20.00 per additional site.

I've put up the deposit for two nights, July 18 & 19. I can cancel any time before June 19 and get that deposit back.

I would like to see as many people as possible come.... maybe we can convince Evogun to drive out with his AWD Festiva
