This weekend has been very cool. Thanks Dad and Sam for all your help with the new stiva. She's really starting to come together. A little more sanding/painting and the interior will be straight.

I can't wait to see the new seats you picked up Will. We are going to try to make the trip together to Charlotte to check you and the family out.

Sorry you couldn't make it today Jeremy but there is always next time :hello1:

          Brian,

Barbara and I and maybe Sam will be headed up to Millersburg, PA next weekend to pick up some parts.

The following weekend some of us in Raleigh may convoy down to see Motoxpress "Will" if he can meet up.

Some time after that will be another Madness work meet.

                  Hate I missed it

Its sounds like you guys had a blast. I'm not much good under the hood but I'm a fairly decent paint and body person when it comes to my festy. Next time you guys are getting together please give me a call. I will be tinkering around with my car all fall and winter long and hope to have it in a more complete state by spring.

Will, did you get those aspire swap parts at the pullapart in charlotte? If so, did you leave anything for me? I got the rear parts the other day off the auto 4dr aspire with 60k something on the clock. Now I need the front parts and the ebrake cable from a 2 door aspire. I'm gonna check it out tomorrow unless you got all the goodies

                      Lane,
I sure did just so you know if you go to the 2 door man trans Aspire the cable is already unhooked except at the wheels just pull the cotter pins and it's yours. I wasn't able to get the
Rear end out due to bad shock bolts. I will more than likely be there Saturday pulling an engine for Sam (if it's still there) and 2 transmissions give me a call if you make it out there.

Unfortunately I'm only off tomorrow and wednesday. Hopefully that brake cable will be there tomorrow. Do you know if there are any front components left? I wanted to get the parts from the same car I got the rear from, but I didn't have the tools and the engine/trans was already removed, so I wasn't sure how to seperate it from the axles.

Hey guys! I had a VW bud of mine come over today and we were able to get the transmission out!

I'm not going to lie.. it was a pain!!! Everything was rusted and frozen together.

We got the new clutch installed, but now we can't get the transmission back in.

Would you guys take a short jaunt down US-1 to SAnford? I'm only a few miles down the road..... since I've gotten the transmission started, I'm going to keep it! WOOHOO!!

I caught the Madness at the meet and really want mine on the road soon!!

*I'm begging for help at this point*

                              Jeremy,

Barbara and I are in PA. and MD. The car is loaded down with a Festiva Body kit we bought and other Festiva parts. Also meeting some more Festiva folks while up here.

Sam is out of town doing some Festiva bonding along with getting some Festiva parts too.

Next weekend is up in the air, pending picking up another Festiva.

Glad to hear you have decided to keep the car.

This thread was posted to suggest that maybe some other members in the area could get together on Sunday to join you in Sanford for lunch and maybe a helping hand.

                              Have fun!

Barbara and I hope to meet up with a few members while here and on the way home.
