No I didn't, wasn't necessary when adding relivant data concerning the "center of the nation"!

Here the rest of your quote "happy"?

sadly, unless its near the west coat i wont be able to attend. however, i dont think it matters if its in the "center" of the US. it should be "centrally located" in regards to where the majority of members reside. this way more people can attend. just my 2 cents.

              My point exactly!
And should be located, if at all possible centrally to those who will attend.
We get a lot of lip service and may no shows. (Logan)
So shifting it geographically toward those who make the effort to come should be considered.

Muscle_Car1 you make a good argument but with the number of people you have from your area under my plan it would shift toward Chicago anyway.
Means more driving for me though.
But if we get more people showing up it worth it!

And if we have it anywhere else will you drive to it?

I know Levitan will make the drive so already it should be shifted toward Iowa, that and the Chicago crowd help with that.
But suspect a few Maryland people can neutralize that!

Come on out to ohiostiva for a few yrs then you will have a say. If you aren't willing to travel to a meet why should others travel many hours. Right now I think levitan has travelled the farthest that I know of.

In regards to Pu241 thats why I said people should update the map...

Is there a link so everyone can do this? And a way so people can only pin their location once? GREAT IDEA? I am interested in a possible long haul especially if I am still out of work.

Monsoon had a cool idea last fall while talking to him on the phone. He mentioned a Meet in Memphis, Tennessee.

As far as the St. Louis Meet, I'd be game as long as we don't stay in a Burger King parking lot for 4 hours and then near the Arch for the other 4 hours. I like to cruise and see more than 2 things.

And, JoDan, we'll make the Iowa Meet a seperate Meet. We need to wait for things to thaw and dry up so I can get the race track in decent shape. Hasn't been used since the mid-60's. I want it to be 3.1 miles of fun, not obstacles. Then I want to get a route along the Des Moines River where we can see where parts of the movie Twister was filmed.

we should probably do it in the middle of the states somewhere and not in the north or just the south, Kansas City, MO or St Louis are more centrally located and easier for more people to flood in to. Any thoughts?
