  • 1st annual Sunshine Meet 2010

Ok guys. Sorry for making everybody wait. There will be a meet. In Florida. Sometime in March (maybe 20th?) Things have not been set in stone, so ideas are welcome at this point.

I'm thinking if people make it on Fri. we can go to the track. Saturday we will do something (meet) and I can arrange dyno pulls on sunday if anybody is interested.

This is my 1st meet to host, so I'll be getting ideas and such from Dean,Sam,Brian, and others who have put on successful meets before.

    Who's coming?

I'll also try to come up with something cool (like tshirts) to get everybody to attend.

      Madness Racing Team NC

I am up for some racing Friday night.

Can't decide if I will drive the B6t down that Chris built or the BP car.

      Maybe both?

Then the B6t may just be to much for a old guy like me to race.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering... seems that my main customer at work can do anything except make a decision about when they want the next set of demo's done! Right now it's "some time between Feb & April... probably".

FEH! Maybe I'll get a break this time!

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

As a REALLY general location, Orlando.

Here's the drag-strip that most of us go to for light reference.

Unless Greg wanted to hit a different strip, which is always a possibility.

I'll say central Florida. I'm working on a meeting place. I really don't want to meet in Orlando. Too much crime/traffic/bs going on. It's a little more chill over here on the coast.
We could cruise to Ron Jon. And the track is this side of Orlando and is a calm ride up.

Just throwing the idea out there, but my place is open for cookout/bonfire/workday/whatever if need be. I've got plenty of parking and all that jazz. The only downside is that I'm slightly off the beaten path lol (about 40-45 minutes from the track)

Tiny, you should refer them to this thread and be like "look! everyone wants me to go!" and other things like "but it's the 1st Annual Sunshine Meet, the FIRST! I CAN'T miss it!" lol

I dunno, man. Sounds to me like Cruel & Unusual Punishment to have to ride all that way with one's own brother.
