A great time had by all! Glad to meet some new people and re-meet some already-known ones. A random guy named Mark in a '91 Civic 4WD wagon stopped to chat, and he and I had a good conversation. Angrygocart (Cameron) flew in from MD and arrived in a rental Hyundai, then went on to Branson, MO to hook up with his parents.
List of attendees:
drddan...sc72 and spouse Peggy...ericsmith32 and spouse...angrygocart...muddevil01...CharlieZ...moi . Not a lot of folks compared to last year, but just as much fun!
Talked to Pu241 tonight; he suggested having the meet next year in a JY parking lot, like the one near the racetrack on hwy 70 in IL, just east of St Louis. Very simple to navigate to. There's a Burger King or something similar near it, and we could even do a cookout thing in the JY parking lot. Also we talked about having it a little earlier in the year, like the weekend after Festiva Madness, which seems to be slotted for the 1st weekend in Oct. Since few midwesterners go to Madness due to the distance, there should be no real conflict.Last edited by TominMO; 11-06-2010, 07:09 PM.
