  • I want to thank everyone who brought the turbo insanity! Saturday night was a blast. We may not have found any victims (though, I think we scared off a couple of potential victims, lol) , but just the sight and sound of a gang of boosted Festivas rolling the streets together was awesome! I just wish my gopro battery had lasted long enough to capture it. Lets shoot for over a dozen turbo cars on next year's cruise.
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

    • Yea I might get aspire manifold so I can modify later if I want turbo but a stock one would for now. I was going to drill it out and put a bolt with a nut through it.

We got out about 1030 this morning after running around town to get a sweatshirt for Bobbi. Then back to the hotel for forgotten cookies, and then breakfast. The Indy crew has just split up after a (relatively) safe and uneventful trip from our mishap in Richmond. We're about 25 minutes from home, and Dennis has just under an hour left until he's home.

It was great seeing everybody and we can't wait to do it all again next year.

M3ntal, since you guessed dead on, pm me and we can work out getting you the prize money for that.

Time to enjoy the last bit of the ride home and pass out when we get there.

Sent from the bathroom via crapatalk.

                  • Just want to take a minute to send BIG props out to a deserving individual.

                    FestYboy.

The man drove down here a day early, Thursday, to help me get my wifes car started, then drove another hour to check out Laurels car with me. Then, after I did a clutch for another Festiva at Smedley's house, He banged his knuckles on GenevaDirts car until 6:30 in the AM. The short amount of sleep didn't slow him down much in the garage after the meet Saturday, nor on Sunday, when we all got a bunch of little things done on a few cars, before he and AdvancedDynamix figured out my IAC was stuck wide open and then came up with an ingenius little work around to get my idle down to normal from the 1400 RPM's it had been running at. Not to mention we replaced my TB gasket while we were in there.

So, big ups, there, Arty. Me hats off to ya!

Thanks, I second that. Was thinking I needed to write a props to Arty for all the work he did and you beat me to it and better than I probably could. Arty, we really appreciate all the work you did this weekend.

                            • I don't know FestyBoy that well but i have to say he was one of the coolest people i met at the two meets i was able to attend. always helpful and not demeaning toward people such as myself who just didn't know squat lol. Gave me some great advice and helped check out my car when i went to my first meet which was 4thstiva 2 years ago. Others i would have to take my hat off to that i met were Angie and Will for opening their home and being so friendly to everyone at that meet. Ofcourse i can't leave Barb out because she did the same just on a much larger scale... and she let me tear the parts car apart 2 years ago at madness

                              • I have someone else to thank, well, a few of them, but at the top of this list?

The right Reverend John Jacks, AKA PU241!

This man toted a windshield down to Madness for me, and I wish he would let me repay him! His generosity is incredible!

There was GenevaDirt who sold me this cool HID light setup for $20, and put up with me yammering at him for hours...

JohnMT sold me these two hatchcovers that are awesome, at an incredible price. Also, SkeetersKeeper brought a friend who cut me a good price on some rear brake setups. Not only that, but he squeezed a door into his car for me, and I couldn't even use it Look forward to seeing him again soon though!

It goes without saying that Smedley deserves the most thanks, putting up with all the hijinx and madcaps that this tomfoolery brings for all these years.

If I forgot anyone, please forgive me! I met quite a few new people, not all that I wanted to, though! Someone pointed out Hatchbck for me, but I never caught up with him to thank him for all his help during my B6 swap. I didn't even get a single word with NeanderPaul, or his beautiful wife! I missed you, my brutha! And Jim! What a looker you married! I barely spoke to you guys either! I wish Madness was a week long!
