Its pouring right now , got 6" last night , my windows were left down when I got home from work yesterday and the sun was shining then , I fell asleep ,2 hours later the inside of my Festiva was drenched , It is supposed to rain all night .

This is Inga, DJ's wife. DJ wanted me to post something here to let y'all know he won't be showing. He should be back here late tonight.

DJ took off this morning and made it to Brookhaven, Mississippi and his transmission went out.. he didn't give me all the details. His cell kept going out.

At 4pm he called a tow truck. He said he won't leave it anywhere.

This has to be a big let down for him, he worked so hard on it for the last 2 months. He even worked on it for 20 hours a day since last week. He was real upset when he called. :evil:

Dam.........The ringleader won't be there, I hope he gets everything back together and home OK! I wish he was closer I'd go get him. I know he looks forward to this each year and has to be upset.

Thats too bad, if I was still going, I know I really wanted to meet him, well there is always next year, we have a couple years left before this big festiva boom dies down. Tell him not to worry, these things happen.

I mean the boom of people buying them for there gas milage and practicality. We have 1500 members, but most of them are 3 post newbies that arn't really active, only here for some knowledge, which is fine, more the better.

I think we are in a boom because of current trends in the economy forcing people to look at festiva's, geos, and motorcycles that normally wouldn't of.

A few year from now, there will be only maybe 20 of us that are from the original boom (right now) still driving festiva's.

Just my view.
