I really wanted to meet DJ too for the first time .
It is too bad that someone close down by there could not have been contacted to do a tranny swap for our leader .

I mean the boom of people buying them for there gas milage and practicality. We have 1500 members, but most of them are 3 post newbies that arn't really active, only here for some knowledge, which is fine, more the better.

I think we are in a boom because of current trends in the economy forcing people to look at festiva's, geos, and motorcycles that normally wouldn't of.

A few year from now, there will be only maybe 20 of us that are from the original boom (right now) still driving festiva's.

Just my view.

Just go buy an Aspire. The newest one is still only 9 years old!

But with logans drop out... and now DJ's drop out... i really do not feel like making the trip all the way there to only see a couple cars that i really want to see in person. DJ's car was #1 on my list of cars that i wanted to see along with meeting DJ. Logan's car was also up there. I am real sorry i'm not going to make the trip, please don't hate, i feel really bad for not going

Lord smite me if i do not make it to ohiostiva fall edition because i will be living in Penn at that time so if i dont go you guys deserve to hate me after that. I did decide to keep the festiva and not sell it unless a really nice offer comes up so plan on me sticking around for a while.

once again im really sorry guys but i do not think that the trip will be worth it to me...

Hey don't get me wrong, I was dying to see/Meet DJ as well!

But we have to carry on!

I will volunteer to pick him up at the airport, if he can get a flight and so desires it!

But if not, I hope to see plenty of other festivas there!

I really wish that I could attend this meet, but stuck working long hours gettin my festiva done. haven't kept u guys up to date but i got a nice supraise coming... maybe on next festiva meet mine will be done. in mean time i will try to get another one as a dailey driver... hope u guys have fun.

Don't let this meet die because of a couple of us cant make it, you guys are going to have a blast, IAN suck it up and get there. Its just really bad timing for me. I will be at the fall meet, and you can meet me there, With the races, and the festiva's there is no way you can't have fun, everyone thats going, have fun, I know you will.

You can even use a aspire as a piniata :-)

I am walking out the door as I speak , car is packed ,cleaned , (hopefully no rain on the way ) Extra wheels and alloys loaded up . Snacks ,water ,and some sammitches :lol:

Made it home around 1am. The trans lost 2nd and 4th. It was the original trans for the car. Roger and Donald from FMS will be there. Don't bail just because I can't make it..

I hobbled it home going from 1st to 3rd to 5th. The cheapest tow was around 600.00 screw that.. I was mad, but I didn't take it out on the car.. That trans has held up to my abuse for years.. I guess it just chose now to die..

After I replace the trans (I have another 5 spd in the garage) I will be getting to work on the FOTM and I DO expect PICTURES from the FF.Com admins and Mods that go.

Also, I will be taking pictures of the interior after everything is fixed.. btw, it has a playstation 2 installed as well as the 6 displays..

I had a Toyota that did that but it did it intermittently. Some days I'd only have 2nd, 4th and reverse and some days all would work.
