Came home and slept for 14 hours and now I'm getting ready to pull out for Wilmington, NC for 3 days.

As always, thank you Barb for being an awesome hostess, letting me crash on your couch for 2 nights, and for just being a wonderful person! You do so much for the community there is no way we could every repay you for all of your contributions. FM7 was a great success and I'm already making plans for FM8. It was great to hang out with old friends, make some new ones, and get to talk to some old "forum friends" in person for the first time. I know I've only made it to 2 FM's so far, but when I do it is always the highlight of my year. Someone who isn't a member of the community asked me about Madness a few weeks ago and I told them "think Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July all rolled up into one and then coated with Festivas"

This was my first ever Madness or car show of any kind and I had a blast!! Thanks to Barbara & everyone for the food & holding this event, and a special thanks for Paul for replacing the drive axel seal in my Festy. There is no leak at the axel now, but still have something leaking down there still, but not as serious.
Thanks Karl for the mini convoy on the way down to the Madness & thank you Darren for hauling the 5 speed tranny down to buy from you!! It was great meeting new friends and seeing the faces behind the forum names.

I just got home an hour ago. I made a side trip on the way home (an extra 250 miles) to the Tail of the Dragon (Deals Gap) and ran my Festy 3x's on the Dragon. I will post some pics when I rest up from all the driving.

                  Many thanks to the organizers

I talked with a bunch of nice people, sold a seat, bought some wheels and a mirror, took a bazillion photos of Festy engine compartments, and had a grand time.

                  Thanks.

I feel like crap because I couldn't make it. I was really looking forward to meeting new festy people, especially some of the guys who travel from west to east, and east to west. I'm hoping the fall fling Ohiosteva will be some type of a consolation for not being able to attend Madness, but I still don't get the experience of the NC guys and all their cool cars. Thanks to anybody who posts up pics, that almost helps ease the pain...... The best(or worst) part is that after the whole fuss from my boss about me being here this weekend we didn't have much at all to do, so the majority of the time I sat on my phone waiting for pics.....

Yes, I have to put the car on ramps and crawl under there and see where it's coming from.

Here are pics when I went to the dragon/Deals Gap. Enjoy!

                            Driving the Dragon!

The one thing I should point out is, be careful if you go there. There are some crazies out there that fly on the Dragon & if you speed and the cops are out, they will ticket you or anyone. Owe, and one more thing, be courteous. If your going slower than the person behind you, pull off on one of the pull offs and let them pass.
