    FM8 planning thread.

    Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for planning. This is a fairly large meet with a lot of people attending. The local planning committee has shrunk by a couple members, and we would like to grow this again. There are some things that have to be done each year that could use a couple hands helping out with. Many hands make light work, you know!

    Supplies needed:
    Card tables for grilling (Scitzz)
    Tables for meet (Smedley)
    1 popup canopy and tarp (Scitzz)
    Splitter for air compressor
    Extra hose (PU241)
    Lights
    popup canopies (no such thing as too many)
    Extension cords
    55 gallon Trash Bags (PU241)
    Collapsible trash cans (Smedley has2)
    Trailer to transport to/from meet site (Scitzz)
    ICE!
    Coolers
    BYOS(Bring your own sodas)

    Friday night BBQ

    Warchild and a crazy Scotsman are cooking
    Burgers Chicken Breast Kebobs Friday night (Warchild)
    Clean up crew
    2 people to pickup trash
    2 people to wash dishes
    Side dishes

    Saturday Meet.

    Setup crew
    Break down crew.
    Clean up crew.
    Greeting crew to drag new arrivals to signup table.

    Saturday night Post meet Festivaties

    Warchild and a crazy Scotsman are cooking
    Pulled Pork (Warchild)
    Side dishes
    Clean up crew
    2 people to pickup trash
    2 people to wash dishes
    2 people to break down tables grills etc.

    Sunday
    A few hands for cleanup activities before/after breakfast.

    I volunteer for breakdown/cleanup @ the meet on Saturday.

        My daughter (she swears she is picking a screen name tonight after I've only nagged her for 2 weeks) and I for Meet cleanup and sides for Fri and Sat. Any suggestion for something we can pick up locally?

            There is a Food Lion right down the road from Madness Central.

            Potato salad
            Macaroni salad.
            Pies
            Cole Slaw
            Chips

              I can bring a 3-way air manifold for the compressor, with 1-20' hose and 2-50' hoses, and I have an extra 50' hose I can bring as well. I have a couple of 100' extension cords too. We will only be there Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday morning/afternoon, so I'd need to take those items back with me when I leave Saturday.

                Scratch that, we'll be there the whole weekend, Neanderpaul hooked us up with a good deal on a hotel for both nights. scitzz, is there any other tools, etc, needed? I have air tools, welder, all kinds of stuff, and we'll have a good bit of room since we are driving my wife's MPV. Probably won't be able to get the tire machines up there, but anything else I have I can bring.
                No festiva for me ATM...

                          PU241 had the idea to have 2 work cells, one on the back patio, so the crazy Scot and I were over there last weekend. Garage is cleaned up, we can move the Harley to the back, and access is cleared to back patio.

                          I was thinking of bringing my welder over there this weekend. Have it setup and ready, but I am out of Gas. My gauge needs repair as well. I will refill my tiny tank and drop off gauge for repair, so if someone wants to bring a gauge, or even their welder. We haven't needed one in the past though. Tools are always a plus, but we all bring those anyway

                          We need more sides and crew members!

                            I have a Lincoln WeldPak HD flux core 110v welder I can bring. No gas needed. It will handle just about anything on a Festiva.
                            No festiva for me ATM...

                              Cool. I can use and have flux core in mine, but a lincoln is better than my northern 135. Up to you, hasn't been needed in the past.
