Oh, Don't worry. We have been up in that area before. Looks like everything was booked up. Banff was open but its just an empty field and your lucky if you have a tree between you and your neighbor.

Its a good 6 hour drive anyways, so 90 minutes in the morning shouldn't be too bad. We'll try to be there before noon.

We have never been to Wedge Pond. Will it be easy to find you? What should we look for ? Itinerary?

Dang... well I guess compared to the entire continent of North America this could be considered West-ish... :-?

I wonder if we held one in Seattle, WA, could we call it SXSWestiva?

I'm just jealous because I don't have a passport, enhanced license, or a desire to drive 1,609 miles or 12 hours just to do some more driving.

lol, hey dawgstrip its easy to find, there should be a big sign that says wedge pond on it. The turn off will be on your left and it goes right into the parking lot where we will all be parked... Usually we kinda take over the south end of the parking lot area.

So I'd been on the fence for some time about whether I'd be able to come out but I've switched jobs this week and it looks like I'll be taking a weekend shift. So unless Mercury and Saturn align and somebody sacrifices an underseat tray at midnight (or something) I won't be making it this year.

YIKES!!! Less that three weeks to go and my car is nowhere near ready. Please be sure to add your name to the list in this thread if you are planning on attending.

My new one (new to me) is not ready either, front seats are still at the upholstery shop and a wheel bearing is making noise. I may end up bringing the same Festiva as last year.

Looks like we may have a change of plans as well, the Westfalia is not ready so it is a scratch, My dad will be running his Kia Forte Koup, and the wife doesn't want to end up driving her dart all alone so we are going to cheat and throw the festiva on the trailer behind the diesel.

What a great day!!! Five Festivas made it; two from Calgary, one from the Edmonton area, one from Kamploops BC and one from Prince Albert SK. Here's the link to my blog post. Will post more photos up later today. Thanks to everyone that made the trip.

Hey Guys! We just wanted to say we had a blast! We are about to post our newest video, then start working on the Westiva Video. Does anyone have any Video footage or Pics of the Hamster we could use?

That's right folks, it has been a while but we finally buckled down and we have our newest video up!

What is it like to drive 1400km in a shortened Ford Festiva without a roof to go camping and attend an event called ‘Westiva’? And eat a hat? Other than a g...
