At the very least, weld in cross bracing after pushing the the existing out until you get good panel fitment.

Unfortunately it's easier to get a replacement car than to do this correctly :/

^This! And that isn't just something you can do in a weekend properly.. not trying to be a downer, just stating facts. Lots of welding, measuring and know-how needed to repair it the right way so the car is structurally sound and safe! And like William said the car NEEDS the damaged sections pushed back as close as you can get them to where they should be before any cutting happens, otherwise you are just making matters worse..

I know that at one point Barb had some spare Festivas. Maybe we could work together to swap the parts from this car into a straight shell so she will atleast have a driver. Then Kermit could possibly go to a shop for proper repair. I know it just looks like you can cut and weld stuff and make things right, especially watching today's automotive television shows, but that's not really how things work. Body work takes a lot of skill, and a lot of time.

I had hoped I could build a rotisserie and support the frame rails. Doing that, bending back before cutting, bracing and getting the distance between the B and C pillars correct wouldn't be enough?

I know there are a couple of straight bodies available, I suppose they could be stripped and sent out for paint, done before the meet would be tough.

Yes, but Charlie is correct, it would be far safer and faster to replace Kermit's body, hey, it's a car part, right?
                    No car too fast !

Ok, she has a donor vehicle for a body swap! We're going to have to coordinate this to get it done in one weekend and donations might be helpful to get everything running perfectly. Kermit has a.c. t

Alright, more waffling done, and decisions have been made.

                          New plan!

She has an Aqua Funtop in great shape, no exhaust, engine has bad rings, and it is 4 speed.

Take everything good off of Kermit that Aqua needs, including engine, 5 speed, and exhaust, get it running right and tight!

we should be able to do this with a quickness, donations sure to be accepted, I know we will need fluids, stuff to fix/fill AC, and other incidentals. I will have a paypal addy available soon.

Yes sir, you have and she thanks you! You were very generous, and it really helped the upkeep of Madness central!

OK. Paypal me, I guess, I have a paypal debit card that we can use that weekend to buy anything needed, then I can give balance to Barb, donate to American Heart Association, or put into the Madness planning fund. You can specify what to do with any excess if you like. Not sure how to go about this, I can post a running total and credit to donators, or keep it private/anonymous. Whatever you guys think is best. Shouldn't need a ton of money. New fluids mainly, possibly an AC part or two to get the air working again for her. Consumables. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

                                Or even easier

Go to paypal.me/Scitzz and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
