  • Site Upgrades - Donation Drive

    Everyone -

We've just begun the process of moving the site and forums to a new web host. We are in the early phase of migrating and testing. Once we've completed testing and are comfortable with the results, we will shut the board down for a few days until the migration is complete.

This change will do a number of things for us... Most importantly is that we'll have the space to expand as needed, something we can't do now. The host is running on newer, faster hardware and up to date software, so that we can expand to a newer version of VBulletin, additional plugins, features, etc.

With that said... All of these changes have a price that accompany them. We don't ask often, but are looking for donations to the site to help offset some of these costs. The big "donate" button in the upper right corner of the screen is where you can go to help. We'll make sure to take care of the people who donate to us once we have a fresh supply of stickers and swag.

Once we have more information about when the final migration will take place, we'll let you know. We anticipate a few weeks of testing first, just to make sure that we're not missing anything.

Thank you for making the community what it is!

Awesome news- though I'm not sure how I'll survive with temporarily no forum!

I'll be donating again, and soon. The wealth of information accumulated within these forum bounds have proven invaluable in both diagnosing, and properly fixing my Festiva. Also, the community is second to none- really.

I'm glad donations are accepted in lieu of revenue generated through hyperlinked adwords and the like. It really flows with the genuine nature of it's forums members. If you use it, support it.

I'm happy to help, but is there a minimum amount to get a sticker, cause I really want a sticker.. I'd buy the thing outright if I could.

I think we were trying to send stickers for anything over $15.

We try to offset the cost of the stickers and shipping and still get some benefit to the site.
