problems posting...

hey, i was trying to reply to a post and after wrighting what i was wanting to say, i would hit "post quick reply" like i do 90% of the time... then when i hit it, the web site just shuts down and dosnt do anything... all my other tabs open work just fine, so i dont think its my comp... its only ff.com that will do this

anyone else have this problem?

I had this problem earlier today, I thought it was a slow connection but other sites were working fine right after that...didn't think much about it till now.

EDIT: this post worked.... i got another tab open in my internet and its lagging and wont do anything, but this works just fine... WTF!?!?!?!

Everything was SLOW yesterday; E mail, home page, facebook, etc. Today alls fine. I thought it was just increased activity because of Sady.

Hmmm.... The only difference now that the forums will attempt to do is save your post every 60 seconds as a draft. The server that we're running on is not even being touched in the amount of system resources available to us, so.... we should be fine as far as that goes.

Keep an eye on it, let me know if it continues.

As far as the 404 errors, etc. I'd need to see the address in the bar that's causing those. I brought everything over (file by file) from the old server to the new one. So, we shouldn't be missing anything. I guess anything is possible though.

its to do with the auytosave thing... it only does it on longer posts or if i post it after i see the autosave thing.... is there a way to turn it off?

I don't think there is a way to do it per user... I'll keep checking though.

if i take more than a min to post something or i see the yellow autosave thing pop up in the corner, i cant post anything... it just freezes....

For a short term fix, type your reply in note or word, then copy paste.

You aren't using IE are you? The only thing IE is good for is downloading a real browser....

you seem to be the only one having this issue....has to be your browser or settings....something.

Any chance you can reset your browser settings to defaults and try again? Nothing really on the forums from VB about freezing issues.
