To spcbaker festiva motorsport.com is the best place to start from what i've heard and seen. I just bought my clutch from spec. besides that for the moment I'm tapped out on sources for parts. The rest will most likely be fabbed by me. If I find anything else I'll send you a pm."Ford Festiva. Making people rethink their $40,000 investments one race at a time."

Be careful of the ones where the bottom bolt is supposed to go through from the front instead of the back- like ours is set up for. I put one from an RX7 on the other night and it required a couple hours with a cut off wheel and a dremel to make it bolt up correctly.186,000 miles per second is not just a good idea, it's the law

In an effort to make this valuable thread factually correct, the MVP is available in two flavors of alternators, 100amps according to Ch33z3x, and 70amp according to me. I'm holding a well mud caked one. Taken off an 1990 mpv. My web research indicates that this is what it shipped with (OEM) sooooo... 70 amp is still better than 45? 50? that our cars come with.

So a 70 amp alt from a 90 mpv will bolt and plug in? One thing I am concerned about is, will it hurt my mpgs? The more current the alt porduces the more of a load it will put on the engine. Im planning an audio setup of about 350-400w rms and I want some headroom in the power dept.96 S10 ZQ8 4.3 Auto Stock, Clarion HU, Alpine tweets, mids and sub actively x over power by kicker amps

Correction, this 70amps alternator has a wider lower fork thingy (where the bolt goes through) It required me to go to a parts store & get one. (wound up using an imperial bolt & a Teflon nut) I haven't driven it long enough to know what effect it will have on millage. You definitely want to upgrade the one that come stock. It's like 45/50 amp at best. FIne if you're running just a stereo, not so much if you have anything extra...
And, ahem... I have a few extras.Mon arme a moi, c'est un stylo.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but if youre gonna get a higher amp alternator you probably should make sure the big power wire coming out of it can take the extra amps. I know this is an extremely important thing to do when upgrading from a stock 75amp to a 130amp on the foxbody cars.91GL BP/F3A with boost

Just out of curiosity, won't an Aspire alt be a direct bolt-in? Autozone list them as 60A.
That would be enough to compensate for a mild stereo and fog/driving lights, unless of course you're Sasquatch.Brian
