do a run through of ALL of your wires and make sure they're all where they are supposed to be. sounds like something is grounding itself out oh and don't forget to check ALL of your fuses too!!

So you mean your car won't even turn over now that you have your amp hooked up? Or what when you turn the sub/amp on it kills your car?

definately a ground problem or you got a wire shorting out. check all the wires again and make sure none are touching each other or metal(frame). it would help to know if your car ran fine before hooking all of this up(like said above ^^^). if so then something you got wired together is not right. keep double checking everything.

Did you hide your wires going from the stereo to the amp under the carpet? If So you might be pinching it under the back seat.

^ That's what I was thinking. The amp may be shorted. I would unhook just the amp power cables (at the amp) and see if the problem goes away. If not then check the wires as someone has already mentioned. They may be shorted under the carpet.
One quick question, does the system play before you try to start the car? I.E. amp and sub produce sound?

didnt think of that before either^^^^. Could be something going on inside the amp. wires loose inside of it. if you know what your doing and being careful, take the amp apart and look at all the wires inside of it. no wires should be running together. they should be soldered in seperately.

also as stated above^^. the speaker wires could be pinched together. mine was doing this and it made my radio not work but it didnt make my car not start. so not really sure if that is it. i still think its got something to do with the power cord and ground. any way that you accidentally crossed them? i can see that being the problem.
