  • The big three!

    Wow.

    4 gauge is huge.

here's my ground strap & the block ground.

    That cable is mah-ssive!

*drum roll* and photobucket says: "The action that you were trying to perform has failed."

I'll post pics of my superior craftsmanship as soon as they fix whatever is wrong...

In the audio industry 4 gauge is not too big. You should see 0 gauge, that is some thick stuff to try an hide when running through a car.

Well the silver one says 8ga, the black stuff says "4ga welding cable 600 volt" on it. It's beefy!

I am now stalling, as I'm a big chicken & the big three FAQ I read ends with something like: "it should start, if there's smoke, turn your car off immediately & seek professional help!"

                Has anyone else done this?

O, don't be afraid, I replaced the negative battery cable on our Jeep awhile back and had no problems. Good Luck.

make sure when you replace them you rub a bit sand paper on the grounding spot if there is paint on top of it... it will get a better ground...

This is with the battery out, showing the secondary ground, where it bolts onto the tranny.

                          This is the finished product.

Question that is somewhat related. Has anyone who did the bp swap relocate their battery to the passenger side (where the MAF used to be)?
