  • 6 1/2's in the doors

I've seen some festivas with 6.5's in the doors. Does anyone know the max mounting depth in the doors.

i don't know, but it wouldn't be hard to pull the door panel off and measure

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I put 6.5's in my doors and all I needed to do was place them over the door panel I made. They are a pretty high quality JBL and have a big magnet. You have to watch out with the wiring though and make sure the window clears it. Other than that the install was no problem and sounds great amplified with separate tweeters higher in the door!

i have 2 12'inch C1 preccision Power Subs, Rockford Amp, panosonic deck, and Led lights, and 2 speakers in my door, using
1inch wood same size as my speaker to make it fit my speaker without hitting the door, i had to cut whole in my inside door tho

im thinking of putting some 6.5s in my doors as well. i made a dash to go in the back to hide my sound system from prying eyes and out some 6.5s in it. for the ones in the doors ill probly just run wires through to harness in the doors to and splice into the wiring for the dash speakers since my radio doesnt have an extra set of wires for the front

do you have to remove the door pockets to make 6.5s fit?
