i think its not enough to even argue about. if your tires are just a few percent taller that eats up the difference. Now if the ratio of the festiva was some 3.2:1 then it would be a total dog and a necessity to swap over to the aspire one. in earlier times the only way to keep emissions down was to not let the car have any RPMs. 5.0 mustangs had 2.73 rear ends and gained something like a half second in the quarter when they went to 3.73 rear end gears.
