which one do I need, the one with the risistor or the model without? It says that the one with the risistor is for a points system, but I thought I herd someone on the forum mention that they didn't know what to do with the risistor, denoting they purchesed the one that came with it, should I get the risistor one or the one without it?
      thanks

cool, I wonder if anyone else had problems with burning out there distributor without using the risistor, I read one post were a guy burnt out 2, then said he never had a problem after he installed it, so it knida makes me nervous, but I did notice there is a small risistor up beside the stock coil (small rectangle with 2 wires), wired back to the same wire bundle, is this stock equivelant of the risistor provided in the coil kit?

sorry, I ment he burnt out 2 distributors not useing the risistor, not 2 resistors, so I'm wondering if that small rectangle wired in next to the coil is the stock resistor or something else, if so maybe they mean to replace this with the supplied risistor

I just bought the blaster coil, the resistor is not needed in our cars. Buy it and connect the 2 wires. PM me if you buy one and I'll go out to the garage and see what wire goes where.

I've got one running my BP without any problems (no resistor)... The thicker of the two wires run to the +, the smaller to the -.

Mine is just the standard Blaster II coil... I know they have the III's out now.
