I took it down to the muffler shop and got it installed. He had to make an adapter for the pipe that was on there since it's not 2-1/4". I'll post a video later
using 2 1/4 pipe on a stock B3 will cause you to loose a bit of torque... unless you've got at least a header + CAI, and preff a PnP or cam.
A larger pipe will change th sound a little though.
I know on my B6 (which i did a small PnP and CAI job on) i'm having exhaust issues right after my header where my custom 2 1/8" DP is still leaking and i loose a lot of torque!! but for the few weeks when the exhaust was good i could break the tires loose anytime in 1st and when shifting into 2nd.
Of course having a larger pipe will not lose you as much torque as having a leaking DP, but it is something to consider.

I break em loose in first and second and I'm still stock with the adoption of a clutch job

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
Okay, so how much was it and where did you buy it? do you have a part number for it?
I got it on a staff discount which was like, $127 or something..regular $159. All the part numbers are listed on the Magnaflow.com website, which I just took it in to my friend at Lordco and they ordered it in. It was in pretty much the next day.
I seem to have a hole/crack in my exhaust manifold or the gasket though, as I can hear the sort of 'air-sputtering' when I accelerate. I've noticed my mileage has dropped off too..not sure if they're related, but I need to get it fixed soon.
I love the way the car visibly lifts when you get out. These things sure are a change from the massive Volvo I've been driving. I can't wait to get mine on the road.
