I don't think every car has one. I know my friend's Festiva has pushed 6500 RPM before, and his redlines at 6000

I hit the rev limiter in my Festiva one... I was pushing it hard in 2nd gear and slammed into "3rd", but actually hit 1st. Bounced off 8k for awhile until I pushed the clutch back in.

I'm pretty sure the rev limiter on my BP is slightly over 7000 rpms, but that's with the built engine.

I know I can shift my carbed car at 7500 RPM's. Most rev limiters are built into the ECM.

i think so too, i rev my BP to 7k rpms all the time, and as far as i know its a stock engine, and it hasn't hurt it at all

B3 and B6 EFI have fuel cutout @ 6250, if you rev your car up in neutral it'll "bounce" off the rev limiter.

As far as i know the Carb B3/B6's do not have a rev limiter, and i've heard of folks revving their carby B3's up to 7500 to 8000 while accelerating. IMO, not a good idea...

BP has 7200 RPM fuel cutout.
