this is true, but i bet the law figures for stock boost setting and lets it go at that

    more clarification will be needed.

"dynamic displacement"? does not replace volume. period. boost is an enhancement. just the same as a naturally aspirated engine at a given ambient outside temperature vs. a different outside temp. ask any drag racer on a cool night after qualifying during the day.
unless your laws restrict CFM for an engine.

To be truthful it makes no sense to me, As stated before adding a turbo/supercharger only adds to the VE of an engine.....But it's the law so if i what to have fun i have to follow it........

There is no limit to boost.....you can go stupid if you want.....

It just comes down the Law

As when i am finished putting in the new motor and doing the Brakes and the rest i then have to go to the Engineers and have it checked and a Modification Plate fitted.....

So at the end of the day I can have up to 2.4Ltrs all motor

        Or 2.0Ltrs Turbo/Supercharged.....

        Craig....

Just think how lucky you Guys are......

And i haven't even been game to ask if i can build a SHOGUN

Laws over hear are really strick and stupid. As far as the government and transport authority are concered if you turbo a large engine swap you have to drop the engine size down.

While the actualt litergae/dispalcemnt dosnt change, they still maintain that its an inrease, and thereofre can be illegal

figure dynamic displacement like dynamic compression: volume of air (@ atmospheric pressure) per intake stroke.

as you go through the RPM range of any engine, the actual compression ratio changes throughout the range due to valve overlap, cam timing, inertia of incomming air/fuel, temprature, etc. keep in mind that only with a VE of 100% will you actually get your static C/R, as soon as the VE goes above or below 100%, the actual C/R changes as well.

4g63 2.0 liter turbo. stroker kit puts it to 2.4

chrysler made 2.0L and 2.4L. the 2.4L has a turbo engine, and the 2.0 valve cover can be made to fit that is very plain.

none of these engines will fit unless you can weld. your car is so light it doesnt need the extra displacement to get going like a 3200 pound srt-4 or evolution. i would build a dohc 1.8 for high boost because you don't need to fabricate how to get it into your engine bay.
