  • Lightweight battery saves 30 lbs

The link takes you to an article on installing a sealed lead acid battery into a Corvette. The swap dropped a hefty 30 lbs. Similar weight saving may be realized in a Festiva. Battery in the "trunk" works but actually, the weight isn't doing much good back there either. Worth looking in to.

Any weight out of the front end is good, and if you can relocate less thats even better.

Done. On one, anyway. However, I went from a half-size Odyssey to a full size Optima for more CCA. No problems since. I might use the Odyssey in my 5 speed when I get it running.
