I was just looking into this yesterday. You probally can but it would require you to total disassemble the 2 trans & swap bellhousings

          I've had a g25mr & g5mr both bolted up to a bp.

what would you need to convert to hydrolic clutch.
the escort i found had power brakes so would the resivor from power brakes fit on a non power brake slave cylinder.

That is not the difference between the two. The G25MR is the second generation of the G5MR (also known as G15MR). There are G5MRs that are hydraulic. Look in the sticky. And I know I just answered this question in a topic in the general section, so I won't repeat it.

i believe there were 2 of us that did it first round, me and another guy who sold his car. both of us did a hydraulic BP escort swap. mine is out of a 91 egt with the g5mr trans. converting to hydraulic isnt tough, just open up the hole where the cable went through, drill a hole for the extra bolt used by the master clutch cyl. then make a mounting bracket for the pushrod on your clutch pedal.

easy as that. been runnin my bp festy with the hydraulic clutch for prolly around 3 years now? maybe 4?

i can try to dig up some old pics if you need them.

i did the same thing. only drawback is the pedal effort because of the geometry. stroke is really short though, makes for awesome speed shifts
