the 1.9 wont work in a festiva.
the 1.8 will work in a festiva. That engine is found in the 91-96 ford escort GT or LX-E

No it will not work. The 1.9 is a FORD motor. (and a piece of junk at that. and yes I had an escort so I am talking from experience) Your festiva is mostly MAZDA. It has a Mazda B3 B-series motor. Which is why other Mazda motors will swap easily. Such as the 1.8 BP Found in the Mazda protege LX or escort GT
