i was working on my motor last night and noticed that the small end of the conecting rod where it meets the piston pin was all discolored from heat... not good
so i tried to take out the pin... that didnt go well. i put it on a rag and on top of the vice (but didnt tighten it) then i hit it a copple times with a center punch... it didnt move, its stuck on the rod... and i also buggerd up the piston, the rag didnt do squat, i put some marks in the side of the piston
so i need all new pistons and rods
i was looking on craigs list and found a set of pistons off of a turbo miata thats selling cheap. my question is would these work in my motor? i did a serch and found they are the same size bore but no luck on the rod bore or anything like that. would these work? and i wanted to do a turbo build but didnt have any turbo pistons laying around...

you can barly tell that anything happend there
and i just decided that im gonna keep all the same stuff inside it, no higher comp pistons, stronger rods and head swap.... maby if i get the itch to bump up the hp limits a bit more.... then maby do all that good stuff to it
