    adapter

I needed another adapter plate for another twin carb setup I have from Australia. So thanks to my trusty 20 inch drill press I bought on the bay, I tilted the table to 12 degrees for the intake ports and 22 degrees for the water passages (in both directions to the centerline). Now I just have to tap five metric thread holes and mill away some excess material around the edges.

        swiss

Here is what you do when you sold your milling machine and don't have any money to pay a machine shop. I lightened up the adapter big time by drilling it out like swiss cheese. Next step is to hacksaw out and spooth out the edges with an end mill in the drill chuck + an aluminum file.

What?! Sold your milling machine! How dare you!
I dont have one, but I do have a band saw. I'd make quick work of that adaptor shape you have scribed!

Wow I'm loving watching this come together. I almost started a quad carb setup with some bike carbs a while back, but my old red car got blown up before I got too far along and I sold the carbs for a good bit more than what I paid for them lol. Might need to try something similar to this at some point though, maybe when I swap a B6 into the wifey's car (once mine is done but mines EFI)
                    No festiva for me ATM...

You are right. I only hand filed in 15 minute intervals with a 30 minute lubrication break in between. It is much smoother now and ready for my Merit porting and polishing kit.

The Mazda RX-7 security light fits perfectly into the Festiva dash. I have decided to use it as a choke light for the twin choke, instead of the Nissan choke light which is too large and would require special modification or bracket.

This morning, I finally got around to drilling out my E5 to B6 adapter to final size. I bought an inch and a quarter drill bit (best offer $14) off of eBay and reamed it out to maximum. I will need all the flow I can get with the B6 headers I plan to install on the other side of the cylinder head.

I decided to have my water outlet on the intake manifold welded shut and a new boss welded, drilled and tapped. The reason why I decided to angle the 90 degree hose adapter, is because I am not going to connect my heater core. Summer driving only. Besides losing an inch of space because of the adapter. I chose not to use the front manifold boss because the water is forced towards the back of the engine and up through the intake manifold. The rear of the engine would be hotter.

Made a bracket for the bypass regulator out of aluminum plate. I mounted it on the end of the valve cover.
I used the stock 81 KB laser fuel lines that came with the carbies. All fuel lines connectors are 8mm or 5/16".
