there is really nothing to be gained persay of going to more expensive ignition parts if the engine isnt done to the max also...factory coils put out around 40K volts to begin with and i havent measured resistance on any wires in years, but as long as the resistance is low thats all you will probably ever need....other than bragging rights and pretty parts, it is just a waste of money....good spark plugs instead of cheap stuff are your best bet and quality 7 mm wires, a quality cap and rotor...why put MSD stuff or MSD quality on a stock / semi-stock motor...i like MSD, but only on all out race car....( the MSD reference is only for comparison )

as far as the sunroof goes, i would check under headliner to see if there is any additional structure for added strength if you havent already.....sunroofs are not just installed by whacking out some metal to make a hole to put one in.....weakens integrity of body....i havent had my headliner out thou to see if theres anything added as mine has the factory sunroof...may cause roof flex, panning and eventually leak...if there is something there, i would install and be careful cutting roof..its not easy to put metal back in if you cut too much....:-)

would be a good idea to go back and make a paper template and measurements of the orig opening of the roof so that you can be exact on cutting...takes time, but you'll get best job that way....and find a place that installs sunroofs.....see what they use for sealers, dont just go in and use RTV / silicones....I had a sunroof installed by american sunroof years ago in an F350 supercab and this is THE company for sunroofs / moonroofs ( they did the orig installs for ford / lincoln for production years ago and the german owner invented the moonroof) ...and after a couple of years, it leaked water...why ?...because there was no support structure in roof to stop flexing....my . 02 worth

The only reason I tend to go with performance wires is because it seems like their shielding is better. Have used cheapies and been left sitting on the side of the road in a rainstorm because the rubber cracked. Plus, when you drive a car that looked like mine, yellow wires are kind of mandatory.

Fair enough; for my cars I need red wires tho.

Mike, thanks for advice. I'm kosher on sheetmetal work. Not a fan of RTV either. Good on gaskets and thats all. I have nibblers, compressor, etc. , all the stuff for a good install. Sealers, I will be using either the stuff made by
3M (forgot the name) or.... ? DAP 50 year siding sealer ? Its available in colors white, gray, black, and beige. Sticks like nothing i've ever seen. Used it on my house and on a test sample, I could not pull it off with pliers even. Stuff is amazing! Put RTV on something, you can pull it off with your fingers.

In australia, you can 10mm or even 10.5mm sparkplug leads for that type of vehicle. They say you can never have them too big, as long you got platinum sparkplugs.

              They make a big difference.
