Nice job! Excellent craftsmanship, I like the bell ends on the runners. How did you come up with the runner length/plenum volume? Please explain the design!

thats awesome, are you going to make a lower intake as well?
It's not the size that counts....It's how you use it.

                      Nice sequence of pics too!

FB71, think we could do something similar and enclose the upper as well as the lower intake with with an insulated coolant heated reservoir for the adiabatic engine work?

longer runners = either more low end, to a point that is... I know they do a world of a difference! You shoulda grafted a larger throttle body on there!

                        Awesome Tig work, simply amazing!

Want to make an intake for my truck so I can bold on an eaton M90 to my 3.0L Vulcan?

Those words that PU241 is using have to many syllables for me to even begin to understand what he just said, so I have a more basic question. What is the reason for doing this project? Sure looks sweet, but is looks the only thing or are there performance enhancement reasons for this particular mod?

total pleneum volume comes in at 88 ci which gives ten percent over cylinder volume. total runner length is 18.5 inchs , which make its volumetric efficency (the rpm at which peak torque occours) between 4500-5000 rpm. this length combined with my cam installed at 104 degree centerline will offset the normal reduction in low rpm torque that usually happens small ci engines will a high flow ported head.this will also make peak hp around a usable 6500 rpm instead of the normal 8500rpm for an engine of this capacity.
