Guys I'm sorry the project has taken so long, tech is running numbers and we are waiting on a few parts to come in still. I'm aiming on building a 1.3 that will do a 1/4 mi in the 12's. Alot of mods will be secret, however I'm going to try to do my best to explain what was done and what mods were done to make the 1.3 truly perform and be durable. The things being done I assure you have never been attempted on a Festiva, the "Eye of Ra" is going to be unique and truly a quick car. Some parts were lost in the mail so we have had a small set back  , I plan to unvail the car around mid March 2006. Give me some engine break in time, and I will then hit the 1/4 mi. This cars motor and design will be unique and one of a kind. Be patient, "I'm trying" to be as much as possible myself. 8) Calm and cool, I'm excited to reveal "new idea's and mods" that can be done to a "stock 1.3," I don't know if I will contend with the B3 and B6's here, but I hope it to be unique, new and outright crazy as well as quick of the line. B3's and B6's are great upgrades, but I think this will inspire folks to be outright different and create something that makes them happy. Thanks all for your input, hang tight cause the car is nearing completion.
You B6's and B3's be aware  I hope to be a fast contender, your cars inspire me to do great things, all you guys here are great, thank you for you inspirations, and especially thanks for the feedback here

I was having lunch and asked myself "why does'nt eye of raw use the gseries tranny?"
I don't know if it fit's the 1.3 but it should right, Fred?
I mean the festiva tranny bolts to the B6T engine so I guess it will work the other way around. The stock tranny should be ok for 150 hp and under if you are gently with it.
I think you should really consider this option,I have a extra tranny and I still have the 1.3 engine laying around @ my parents home.I don't have too much time but I can test fitted if needed but i'm sure lots of members have done this.
Fred toasted the tranny and did not had a problem with his axles,Lots of places have costum axles anyways (no problem with axles).
Thank's

Is there a preferable tranny that will mount right in to the stock 1.3? If there is maybe i will just upgrade now to avoid possible future problems. I would like one that would swap right in that could hang with a powerful 1.3.
G series tranny? I got questions, is that from a B6? or B3 stock motor car tranny? Can it work and can it perform? I need input guys.
What is recommended as a powerful tranny that will bolt right into the 1.3 stock Festy motor? Thanks guys

One thing is proven and that is that the festiva tranny will not take much abuse,My brother sold his b6 festiva and the new owner blew the spider gears. He had like 82 hp at the most.

The B6T flywheel would bolt up to the crankshaft, but it is too large in the outside diameter for the starter to engage the ring gear unless you changed transmissions too.
This was posted on another tread in the same section. If I were you I would open A new tread asking if you could use the whole g-series tranny setup in the festive 1.3 engine.
Good luck man!

The Eye of Ra is nearing its engine completion, all your concern have been addressed, I appreciate ideas and coments/concerns. The Eye of Ra is going to have quite an internal exotic cooling system. She will be able to run at high RPM and maintain being cool. I can't disclose all secrets but I may be allowed to disclose some or atleast give you an idea of what was done to modify the engine. I plan to post soon regarding the matter, but all secrets can't be revealed.

Im switching back to topic,
The engine is getting notched heads and pistons, ofcourse each piston will be properly notched and so will its head, she will be water beaded, they are probably going to cut the crank to produce higher RPM's, and multiple location port polish.
Cam will be custom due to alteration of her stroke, she will have different injectors, Garret turbo, and the Flowmaster with new exhaust from engine to the rear.
Boost hasnt been determined as of yet, engine is nearing completion so it will soon be determined.
Once the engine is in she's going to need to be tuned. I dont think she just gonna run the way we want her to, we may need to modify the computer. And fine tuning will be necessary to get rid of any probs.
I imagine we will have some quirks that will need to be tuned out. When done she may be the fastest. No promises, but she will be extremely fast.
Top end speed will be outragous.
She will have a second wind in certain gears at certain speeds, she is being designed to be extremely fast.
She is being designed to last, we dont want her falling apart on us, I figure the motor should be in soon, I just want him to cut the crank, he was pondering it, however I requested it be done to produce more RPM's. That might take a while. Our issue's have been just waiting on equipment to do certain jobs. We are going all out.
Tuning is going to take a while, we just arent going to post results with the 1st tests, she going to need to be tuned to the motor.
There is one other motor out there that is being done up like mine in the state of California, or two engines will be alarmingly quick.
They are implementing drag engine techniques with street performance techniques. My sea level horse power will be outa this world.
Once we have her all done all secrets to our power wont be revealed. We want to try to stay on top with this engine. But I will encourage folks to try some new ideas. Eventually Eye of Ra will be a twin turbo perhaps. I got word of a twin turbo Festiva located in California built also by 808 Built, they dont really have the car "PUBLIC" however Im going to attempt to locate its owner.
You gotta be crazy to want the power we desire, but I will prove all our results, and I will "regain face in this forum." We dont aim to fool anyone, we just have alot of talent behind the wrenches. I dont know what our fastest top end speed car is however whomever it is I have my sights on your car. We want Eye of Ra to be outragously quick, with her turbo extremely quick. She may set top end speed records here, and when done dont worry you will have you print outs videos and track speeds, you will also see her go 0-top end speed and get a video of it. Im not playing around as some may think we are. We are building a great car with a quick motor that will be durable. Whomever thinks she wont be quick has gotta be outa their mind. Instead of doubting us have faith in us and in what we are attempting. She will be quick with out NOS and her top end speed may surpass 140 MPH easy.
We are inginuitive, please dont doubt us, we aim to prove anyone who doubt us wrong. We aim to set some records. Just give us sufficient time to get her done.
Racers would love to know our secrets, but this is what will keep the Eye of Ra on top. I like to help others but cant give all my secrets away. Many race teams would be upset, Decasta and my tech will build you a car here that will set some records, and go ahead and doubt, we appreciate it. When we achieve what we desire you will realize just how serious we are with the Eye of Ra.
I cant wait til she is done. 3 1/2 months so far waiting. Sometimes it takes a while to build something that will surpass what has ever been attempted.. Cross your fingers and pray she gets done, cause were going run tests and get all your desired questions answered the best we can.
She will get some new gauges soon too, and I figure by the end of summer some exotic suicide doors, and new suspension mods.
Im going to be quite for a while, we are working on her every day, I will leave updates as I can. I have spoken enough on her, and have no bragging rights!.......
Soon though she will.

Sorry, i don't want to sound like a dick, but if you have a professional technician blueprinting your motor, why would you ask this forum if porting and polishing is recommended, that's like hiring a professional contractor to build your house and then having to ask a do-it-yourself forum "how do you build a house?" Like i said, sorry to sound like a dick but that's a little weird :?

Don't know why you would say such, when I unveil Ra all will be impressed. You can doubt me and the car and my tech, its ok, when I unveil her you will wish you didnt insult me.
I laugh at uneducated people, I have much vested and at stake, what I am doing isn't common. Who here has a Festiva with a knifed crank? Good luck finding someone to do it for you.
I have the contacts, I must wait in line to get my car done with machine shops. My crank and flywheel went to Hawaii to get done. I hope you keep doubting me. You can name call all you wish, when Ra is done she will be a contender for the fastest. Stop name calling and get working on your ride. And see if someone would ever attempt what they are doing to my engine on your engine, I doubt you will find one. Thats why I say talk the smack and put me down, when Ra is done and on the DYNO you will be the one who will be put down and will loose face for such stupid insults to me.
Ra's engine will be blue printed and copyrighted, thats how much work went into her, cause we dont need copycats attempting what we have done, nor do we want our secrets broadcasted all over. You must think Im F 'ing around or something, man I have done much to get my ride done. I have spent alot and utilized my resources. I hope folks will continue to put me down and when you least expect it she will be done.
I aim to surpass, I aim for speed and durability, please stop hating on me and wonder what the heck I am creating. She's gonna be one of the fastest if not fastest in the world for festiva's with out NOS.
Ponder what you say, Im not messing around and everyday Im closer to getting her done if machine shops would just complete my project.
As for the port polish, it was a question I threw out cause not many do it.
Put me down all you want, my car will soon make you eat your words.

Joe, its kinda like when the Wright brothers said they would "fly" nobody believed them. So is it possible that everything you say will produce the numbers? As long as I have been on the forum I don't recall you being a BS'er. So I am going with the hopes that if its not "the fastest" Festiva that it will be among the top percentage of fast ones. And the fact that you are willing to step out and try a different way of doing this I applaud you! I wish you the best of luck and can't wait to see "Ra" when shes finished!

Im interested as well. The only thing that concerns me about your engine choice is the original design (im not hating, just commenting). I didnt see if you said you were building an intake manifold for it or not, but I can assure you that a stock intake manifold wont make the gains you desire. Displacement can be overcome with the correct tuning and boost levels.
What type of fuel management will you be running?
I applaud you for sticking with the project, I know first hand what it takes to build a fast car...and how many people talk sh$t. One other piece of advice...don't build the car to prove to other people that you can. I spent 3 years putting a car together just to run faster than a "tuner shop" in town that talked sh$t. I finally realized that I started to lose my love for the sport because I was so concerned with other people.Waiting to behold the power of Ra.

eye_of_ra93,
Any updates on how things are going? Is your engine complete yet?
I know things take time, I just haven't seen an update in a while.
I'm interested in seeing how it turns out. Wish you the best.
