Does anyone have any info on the powerband for the B-3? I was randomly reading about the Chevy 350 LT-1, and how it had 370hp and a 6800 redline, but after 6200 rpm power drops out significantly. How does one figure out the power curves for different RPMs, cuz that would shure give one the ability to know exactly how to shift for ultimate acceleration. If anyone has any info on this for the B-3 that would be super. Or for that matter some of the other B series might be interesting to see the info on.

i found the fastest 1/4 mile time i could get was much faster when i reved it right out to about 6500 in first and 6100 in 2nd to get the rpms up as high as possible when i get in the next gear or it would be out of the power band... then it would pick back up after a sec...

Take advantage of it by shifting at 2000 rpms and doing the speed limit. You'll get awesome gas mileage.
Thats the whole point of the B3.
You'll feel accomplished when youre getting well over 400 miles out of your 10 gallon gas tank.91GL BP/F3A with boost

It just looks like he's curious, nothing wrong with that.

I've seen some stocker SVO motors pull high numbers reliably, but my point still stands.Current cars:

The turbo 2.3 is way more overbuilt compared to the plain ol pinto 2.3. Its easy to get 300hp out of them stock, 400 with some tweaking and I think the stock internals are good to 500.91GL BP/F3A with boost
