I think I have the Festiva one and it won't clear the oil cooler thing on the back of the motor. Am I screwing it into the right location or do I just don't have the right one?

Oil fitting? Are you talking about ditching the cooler or using the sender?
The senders should be physically about the same. The oil cooler just comes off like a filter and you run your filter in its place.
I think the senders run on opposite resistance scales or something. I run the capri one and instead of the oil light being on for a split second on startup and then always being off its the opposite, its off for a split second and then stays on. For some reason I didnt switch them around...91GL BP/F3A with boost

Actually you should be able to loosen the inner nut that holds the cooler in place, and rotate/clock the cooler out of the way of the oil pressure sensor1991 Mercury Capri XR2 "GTXR2" BPT Swapped AWD Conversion
