  • wudddup 1.5L twin cam turbo frankenstien mazda motor!!

Hey guys, so long story short heres what im going to do, ive got so much spare junk lying around im going to make a mix-match of parts

-mazda protege z5 block bottom end (1.5L, same piston design + same exact block as b6me)

-Mazda b6T head, intake manifold, exhaust manifold etc turbo setup.

This has been done before with a b6-me mx3 head by this guy on club protege,
Engine/Drivetrain Modification Discussions for 1995-1998 Models Only (BH chassis)

the only difference for me is that im going to have to plug off some oil galleys, this also has been done before by icedawg.

Why the multiple posts? your 3 posts were only a minute apart each, you do realize you have 30 mins to go back and edit/add to your posts right?

More like ADD and not OCD. Someone with OCD would read their post several times and make sure it was perfect before hitting the reply button. Can't wait to see this finished. Sounds like a cool project.

Wow festyfreak is like...seeing in my head. When I was engine shopping I thought why can't that work? Since these "jdm importers" can't seem to move those protege engines when they get them you can buy clean low miles engines for $250-300 cash and carry. It's too bad the 1.5 head doesn't work because they have to be a bit better design since they are a good 10 years newer. I suppose you could attack it either way: a custom manifold or just a head swap with revision(s). Whatever is less fabbing and $$ to pay others. Can't wait for updates!

It's a MazdaFordnKia thing, and you will understand!

im planning on taking lots of comparative photos tonight except i really have to finish my RFP report for school,

dont confuse the B6ME with the z5, the z5 has some pretty tiny valves, im not sure how well they would flow...

im going to link this onto club protege too, because there are lots of protege guys who want more power out of there z5 and therefore a B6ME or B6T head swap would be a cheaper/easier alternative thena bp swap
